Yes, for a business that already runs on Odoo or is about to. Our own site, ooda.net.au, is built on Odoo and scores 95 for mobile performance and 97 for desktop in Google PageSpeed Insights, with 100 for accessibility, best practices and SEO. Every enquiry lands in our CRM as a lead, with nobody re-keying it from an inbox. For a site that publishes content and connects to nothing else, WordPress is often the simpler choice.
This page covers what the scores mean, why we built on Odoo, what connects to what, where Odoo websites fall short, and when WordPress is the better call.
What does the site score?
95 on mobile, 97 on desktop, 100 on the other three.
| Measure | Score | What it checks |
|---|---|---|
| Performance, mobile | 95 | How fast the page loads and becomes usable on a slowed-down mobile connection |
| Performance, desktop | 97 | The same test on a desktop connection |
| Accessibility | 100 | Contrast, labels, alt text and heading order, so screen readers and keyboards can use the page |
| Best practices | 100 | HTTPS, no browser errors, no outdated scripts |
| SEO | 100 | Page titles, descriptions, crawlable links and a mobile viewport |

Mobile is the score that matters most. Google reads the mobile version of a page first, and the mobile test is the harder one.
A score of 100 for SEO means the basics are in place. It does not mean the page ranks. Rankings come from content and from links on other sites, and no build score measures either.
Why did we build it on Odoo?
Because we run the business on Odoo.
A website on the same platform as the CRM removes a step most small businesses never notice they are doing: copying enquiries from an email into a system. One platform also means one contact record per person, one login for the team, and no connector between the website and the CRM to break when either side updates.
What connects to what?
- Enquiries. The contact form creates a lead in Odoo CRM. The team sees it in the pipeline, not an inbox.
- Bookings. Scoping calls are booked online and land against the same contact.
- Content. The team edits page text, publishes articles and swaps images in the Odoo editor, without a developer.
- Tools. The free AI website health check and the LOOP content service run on the same site.
How was it built?
As a custom Odoo module, with day-to-day edits made in the editor.
The layout, styles and core page content sit in code. Changes are tested on a staging copy before they reach the live site, and the code keeps a record of every change. New articles, image swaps and text edits are made in the Odoo editor like any other Odoo website.
The scores came from a short list of decisions, not from the platform:
- Images. Compressed and served in WebP, sized for the space they fill.
- One title and description per page. Written for each page, never left as the builder's default.
- Question headings. Each heading is a question a buyer would ask, answered in its first line, so search engines and AI tools can lift the answer.
- Visible FAQs. Questions and answers render as plain text on the page, not hidden in an accordion.
- Structured data. Articles carry Article and FAQ markup that matches the visible text.
Where does an Odoo website fall short?
Ready-made themes, plugins and the pool of developers. Design itself is not the limit.
Odoo's builder has fewer themes and third-party extensions than WordPress, and fewer developers know it. A small theme range does not mean a templated site: an Odoo website can be designed and built custom, as a module, which is how ooda.net.au was built. Odoo covers page titles, descriptions, sitemaps and redirects without plugins, but has no keyword-scoring tool like Yoast or Rank Math. Hosting and licensing follow your Odoo plan, so a business that only needs a website pays for a platform it barely uses.
When is WordPress the better choice?
When the website stands alone.
- The site publishes content and takes enquiries, and nothing else needs to connect to it.
- The team already manages WordPress and does not run Odoo.
- The site needs a specific plugin Odoo has no equivalent for.
We build on both. The recommendation follows what the site has to do, not which platform we prefer.

Frequently asked questions
Is Odoo good for SEO?
Yes, for the fundamentals. Odoo's website builder handles page titles, meta descriptions, sitemaps, redirects and clean URLs without plugins. It has no keyword-scoring tool like Yoast, so the content work still has to be done by a person.
Can an Odoo website be fast?
Yes. Ooda Consulting's own Odoo website scores 95 for mobile performance and 97 for desktop in Google PageSpeed Insights (October 2026). Speed depends more on image sizes, scripts and theme choices than on the platform.
Do you need Odoo ERP to have an Odoo website?
No. An Odoo website can run with the Website app alone. The case for Odoo is strongest when the website connects to other Odoo apps such as CRM, Sales or Inventory; a standalone site is often simpler on WordPress.
Does a perfect SEO score mean a website will rank on Google?
No. The PageSpeed Insights SEO score checks technical basics such as titles, descriptions and crawlable links. Rankings depend on content, relevance and links from other sites, which the score does not measure.
Can website enquiries go straight into Odoo CRM?
Yes. On an Odoo website, the contact form can create a lead in Odoo CRM directly, with no email to copy from and no connector to maintain. On WordPress, the same result needs a form plugin and an integration.
Can an existing website be moved to Odoo?
Yes. The existing pages, content, forms and URLs are assessed first. Old URLs are redirected to the new pages so existing links and search listings still reach the right page.
